Your Google rankings are directly influenced by how quickly (or slowly) your site loads.

As a result, it should come as no surprise that if you want to rank highly on Google, your site must load rapidly.
With Google Page Speed Insights, you can get a rapid estimate of how fast your site loads.
You may also run a page from your website through WebPageTest.org if you want to go even deeper into the causes that are slowing down your site.
These two tools will show you how to fix specific page speed issues on your site.
However, there are a few tricks that can help you get things done faster.
- Compress the images on your website.
- Change to a more suitable host (this makes a big difference)
- File size of web pages should be reduced.
- Delete any third-party scripts that aren't needed.
Now you're ready to move on to our second technique for improving your SEO.
2. Get your website listed in the Featured Snippets section
I've gotten my site to rank in 79 different Featured Snippets in the last year.
Like this:
“Snippet Bait” is a novel tactic.
The following is how it works:
First, choose a term for which you already have a high ranking.
What is the significance of this?
According to Ahrefs, the top page results account for 99.58 percent of Featured Snippets.
So if you're on page 2, your chances of receiving a Featured Snippet are practically nil.
Here's an example of a page from my site that was on page one.
Then, at the top of the SERPs, look at the Featured Snippet:
Also, figure out what kind of Featured Snippet you're looking at:
- Snippet of Definition (“What is content marketing?”)
- “Top 10 Content Marketing Tools” is a snippet from a list.
- Table Snippet (“Prices of Content Marketing Tools”)
Finally, provide a snippet of material on your page that will fit inside the Featured Snippet box.
(This is known as "Snippet Bait.")
I wanted to be in the Featured Snippet for the keyword "nofollow links," for example.
So I wrote a short portion that would be ideal for a Featured Snippet box:

3. Dwell Time Should Be Increased
Is Google's Dwell Time a ranking factor?
YES, in my opinion.
After all, if someone leaves your page quickly, it sends a clear message to Google: people despise it.
And they'll rapidly de-emphasize it:
The inverse is also true: reducing your bounce rate might help you rank higher on Google.

Add videos to your website.
For instance, I recently compared my bounce rate for a selection of pages with and without videos.
And video-enabled pages had an 11.2 percent lower bounce rate than non-video-enabled pages:
That's why I try to include a video in practically every new post I make.
Every now and then, I'll make a video.
This leads us to..
4. Make use of sitelinks
Organic CTR became a big priority for me last year.
But I quickly ran into a problem:
how do you get more people to click on your result aside from improving your title and description for clicks?
Sitelinks.
When you search for your brand on Google, you'll very certainly find sitelinks beneath your result.
Sitelinks can be found on a variety of pages, ranging from blog entries to ecommerce category pages, as it turns out.
And these sitelinks can slash your click-through rate significantly.
What's the best way to obtain connections to your website?
The contents of a book.
When I published this article, for example, I included a table of contents with “jump links” to each tip.
(This table of contents was produced using WordPress.) However, these can be simply put up on any platform.)
And after my page made it into the top five, Google rewarded me with sitelinks.
As you can see, these sitelinks make a significant difference in my final result.
In fact, one of the reasons my page has a 14.9 percent CTR is because of sitelinks.
5. Linkable Assets should be created

My Google Search Console tutorial, on the other hand, isn't exactly straightforward to link to.
There's no compelling reason to link to my guide unless you're writing about the GSC and want to send someone to a site to "learn more."
My voice search study, on the other hand, provides data that bloggers and journalists can easily reference.
Hundreds of high-quality backlinks have resulted as a result of this.

For example, Student Loan Hero's "US Student Loan Statistics" page now has 10.6K links:
Here's how they accomplished it (and why this method is so effective):
They began by identifying a topic on which bloggers and journalists frequently write.
(In this situation, student loan debt statistics.)
They then established a website that compiled data from several sources.
Finally, they focused on the keyword "Student Loan Debt Statistics" in their title tag, meta description, and page.
Which is now on the first page of results for that term:

Consider this:
Who is looking for keywords like "Topic + Statistics"?
Journalists!
Journalists specifically looking for statistics to include in their writings.
And as soon as you rank for that word, you'll be linked to like there's no tomorrow.
